“…Even subsequently, the value for diversity has not been consistently reflected in the work of the field (French & D'Augelli, ; Martin, Lounsbury & Davidson, ; Trickett, Watts & Birman, ). Over the years, there have been several efforts to systematically review attention to particular dimensions of diversity within the formal community psychology literature field, i.e., race and ethnicity (Bernal & Enchautegui‐de‐Jesus, ; Graham & Ismail, ; Loo, Fong & Iwamasa, ), gender (Angelique & Culley, , ; Bond & Mulvey, ; Swift, Bond & Serrano‐Garcia, ), sexual orientation (Harper & Schneider, ), disability (Dowrick & Keys, ; McDonald, Raymaker & Gibbons, ), and aging (Cheng & Heller, ; Hostetler & Paterson, ).
