Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam adalah golongan yang paling rentan disusupi sikap intoleransi. Untuk mencegah hal itu nilai moderasi beragama perlu diinternalisasikan pada diri seorang guru. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui moderasi beragama guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) SMA Kota Pekanbaru terhadap negara dan pemerintahan. Metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner. Populasi penelitian guru-guru PAI SMA di Kota Pekanbaru, sementara sampelnya 78 orang. Penelitian dilakukan bulan November 2022. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar responden cenderung moderat. Ini dapat dibuktikan dengan mayoritas guru PAI SMA Kota Pekanbaru sudah memahami moderasi beragama terhadap negara dan pemerintahan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan mayoritas guru PAI kota Pekanbaru taat kepada pemimpin yang sah meski bukan pilihannya, memiliki sikap cinta tanah air, bersedia untuk ikut serta dalam pesta demokrasi, mengakui ideologi negara Indonesia adalah Pancasila, tidak adanya jurang pemisah antara agama dan pemerintahan. Di sisi lain guru PAI SMA Kota Pekanbaru menolak untuk memilih pemimpin kredibel, karena pemimpin tersebut tidak seagama dengannya. Lebih parahnya lagi guru PAI lebih menerima pemimpin yang seagama dengannya, meski pemimpin tersebut tidak mampu untuk menjadi seorang pemimpin. Tampaknya responden kurang memahami konsep negara dan pemerintahan serta kriteria memilih pemimpin dali referensi yang kredibel Islamic Religious Education teachers are the group most vulnerable to being infiltrated by intolerance. To prevent this, the value of religious moderation needs to be internalized in a teacher. In this regard, this study aims to determine the religious moderation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in Pekanbaru City High School towards the state and government. Quantitative descriptive research method, and questionnaire data collection techniques. The study population was high school PAI teachers in Pekanbaru City, while the sample was 78 people. The research was conducted in November 2022. The results of the research for the majority of respondents tended to be moderate. This can be proven by the fact that the majority of Pekanbaru City High School PAI teachers understand religious moderation towards the state and government. Admitting that the ideology of the Indonesian state is Pancasila, there is no gap between religion and government. On the other hand, the Pekanbaru City High School PAI teacher refused to choose a credible leader, because the leader did not share the same religion as him. Even worse, PAI teachers accept leaders who share the same religion as them, even though these leaders are unable to become leaders. It seems that respondents do not understand the concept of state and government as well as the criteria for selecting leaders from credible references

This study aims to explore the extent of Islamization in Bangladesh during the tenure of democratically elected leaders Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia. The objective is to analyze the state of democratic governance in Bangladesh from a religious perspective, focusing specifically on Islamic political epistemology. It begins by defining Islamic Political Epistemology and its significance in acknowledging Islam’s role in democratic power. This qualitative descriptive analysis examines recent research papers from highly ranked resources such as Scopus. It is important to note that specific methods can strengthen strategies for enforcing electoral decrees, improve credentials for arbitration through sovereignty within the dominion branch, and increase national participation in political acts and society through Islamic Political Epistemology. Sheikh Hasina’s new regime has achieved significant progress in implementing Islamic development in bureaucracy and regulations. Qawmi Madrasah has contributed significantly to Islamic Education in Bangladesh, and the current government recognizes their educational certificates. The salaries of teachers and Imams at Government Madrasah-e-Alia have been increased, which is a significant policy change. The study revealed that Khaleda Zia’s government could have succeeded despite its alliance with Islamic political parties. Having a coalition with Islamic political parties does not necessarily mean that the country’s political ideology is institutionalized in an Islamic way. Opposite, Bangladesh’s government, with partial financing from Saudi Arabia, is constructing 560 mosques that will also serve as artistic centres to promote Islamic epistemology and combat extremism. However, this government operates under a one-party system with the Awami League party, led by Sheikh Hasina, idolizing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Masyumi, Indonesia’s first modern Islamic party, introduced new methods of political campaigning in East Java because of its traditional Islamic base. However, this case has not been seriously studied by scholars. Using the historical method, this article aims to explain the historical politics of the Masyumi party, which temporarily saved the party from declining trust and support. In its analysis, this article uses the perspective of past politics. This article shows how the strategy of the Masyumi Party sustained the party’s dream of an ideal Indonesian state. The strategy of the Masyumi Party in East Java, Indonesia, often differed from other provinces because of its historical politics. The party was more interested in attacking the communist groups than other parties. This was because these groups used the issue of Masyumi’s radicalism in rebellions in other regions. As a result, Masyumi was not concerned with other political forces, such as traditional Muslims and their patron-client relationships, and illiterate society. Although the Masyumi Party did not survive, partly because the Communist Party influenced the Indonesian government, the historical politics of this first Islamic party is important for future research in cities or regencies in East Java with a large traditional Islamic base.Masyumi, partai Islam modern pertama di Indonesia, memperkenalkan metode baru dalam kampanye politik di Jawa Timur karena basis Islam tradisionalnya. Namun, hal ini belum banyak dikaji secara serius oleh para akademisi. Dengan menggunakan metode historis, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sejarah politik partai Masyumi yang untuk sementara waktu menyelamatkan partai tersebut dari penurunan kepercayaan dan dukungan. Dalam analisisnya, artikel ini menggunakan perspektif sejarah politik. Artikel ini menunjukkan bagaimana strategi Partai Masyumi mempertahankan mimpi partai tentang negara Indonesia yang ideal. Strategi Partai Masyumi di Jawa Timur, Indonesia, sering kali berbeda dengan provinsi lain karena sejarah politiknya. Partai ini lebih tertarik untuk menyerang kelompok-kelompok komunis daripada partai-partai lain. Hal ini dikarenakan kelompok-kelompok tersebut menggunakan isu radikalisme Masyumi dalam pemberontakan di daerah lain. Akibatnya, Masyumi tidak peduli dengan kekuatan politik lain, seperti Muslim tradisional dan hubungan patron-klien mereka, dan masyarakat yang buta huruf. Meskipun Partai Masyumi tidak bertahan, sebagian karena Partai Komunis mampu mempengaruhi pemerintah Indonesia, sejarah politik partai Islam pertama ini penting untuk penelitian di masa depan di kota-kota atau kabupaten di Jawa Timur yang memiliki basis Islam tradisional yang besar.
