Abstract: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Conventional protocols for inferior petrosal sinus sampling (IPSS) during the workup of hypercortisolemia require adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) measurement at multiple time points with corticotropic-releasing hormone (CRH) used as a stimulator.
