Animo masyarakat muslim dalam menghafal Al Qur'an terus meningkat dewasa ini. Penghargaan terhadap para penghafal juga semakin tinggi dengan banyaknya peluang beasiswa dan prestasi lainnya dari berbagai lembaga terutama perguruan tinggi. Aktivitas menghafal biasanya diajarkan pada pondok pesantren dengan menggunakan mushaf khusus dan didampingi oleh guru secara langsung. Kemewahan ini tidak dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat muslim yang semakin memiliki mobilitas tinggi. Oleh karena itu menjadi peluang untuk menghadirkan mushaf menghafal digital yang dipasang pada gawai mereka. Disamping itu, metode menghafal yang diajarkan di pesantren juga berdasarkan petunjuk mushaf serta hasil masukan dari para penghafal telah menunjukkan metode tikrar yang paling banyak digunakan. Penelitian ini akan mengusulkan desain mushaf digital untuk menghafal menggunakan metode tikrar yang memberikan kemudahan bagi para penghafal. Metode yang digunakan adalah Lean UX dengan memberikan prototype berdasarkan hasil reviu mushaf menghafal dan aplikasi Al Qur'an yang saat ini tersedia. Prototype ini segera direviu oleh para penghafal untuk mendapatkan desain yang sesuai. Hasil desain diujikan menggunakan metode Usablility Testing dan Important Performance Analysis (IPA) guna mendapatkan kemudahan menggunakan dan penerimaan pengguna dengan desain yang diusulkan. Hasilnya menunjukkan respon reviu yang positif dengan skor usabilitas 79.8 yang berarti cukup baik. Ini juga berarti desain yang dihasilkan mudah digunakan, intuitif, dan efisien.

This paper aims to provide an effective computer game which, in addition to entertaining players, helps improving their knowledge of Tajweed. Tajweed is an Islamic science that studies the correct recitation of the Qur'an words and letters. It has been proven that learning at an early age gives more reliable and long-lasting knowledge. In addition, teenagers are more capable of controlling their pronunciation and modifying them. For these reasons, Qee game targets the ages between 13 and 18. As teenagers nowadays are exposed to a variety of game technologies, which raised their expectations and satisfaction level, a 3D VR game was introduced as an attractive modern solution. A prototype of two levels was developed and tested by 20 participants. The testing session resulted in a successful outcome with some suggestions for future modifications.

Al-Quran is the holy book of the Muslims and the most important scripture containing knowledge on many domains. The recent advent of smart technologies like smart phones, digital devices and tablets has connected the daily life routines under a single touch adopted by many, these new tools with an exponential growth. This paper presented a Digital Quran Model (DQM) using hexadecimal representation using Unicode Hexadecimal and UTF-8 for character encoding, which is backward compatible with ASCII code. DQM target to handle all duplicated words or verses in Al-Quran using sparse matrix with double offset indexing to handle memory optimization. Three approaches were discussed: indexing and representation of the digital Quran to optimize storage, organize verses structure using sparse matrix to handle repetition with double offset indexing to efficiently use the space. The algorithms were implemented using Visual studio and Java server and the solution quality was measured by the size of a file before and after applying DQM model. For surah Al-Baqarah, the longest chapter in the Al-Quran, the reduction of the storage size was 25.00% whereas surah Al-Fatihah was 47.89%. The proposed DQM model is able to optimize the memory space and can be extended to other non-Roman characters used for information retrieval such as Hindi, Chinese and Japanese that are categorized in unicode standards.
