Toxicokinetics: An Integral Component of Preclinical Toxicity Studies

Abstract: The establishment of preclinical safety data for an investigational new drug is a global regulatory requirement. Toxicokinetics has emerged as an area that is little different from pharmacokinetics. This article presents an overview of the use of toxicokinetics in various toxicity studies and discusses factors that affect the measurement and interpretation of toxicokinetic data.
