Abstract:In this paper would like to emphasise that the Indian Carpet industry has been getting a very big support in deciding upon the designs and Colours from the foreign buyers and foreign designers. The designers in foreign countries where Indian Carpets are used are employed generally by foreign buyers who import Carpets. Many designers of repute. In those countries are making Carpet designs and selling it to the importers on different terms including royalty. The paper outlines and discussed the Indian designs could not take any recognition in the absence of collective effort for the sale of Indian Carpets by the Trade Associations / Govt. recognised Promotion Councils. It was only effort of individual exporter's who accepted the available support of foreign buyers.
