Traditional utilization and pharmacology of Cinnamomum glanduliferum: a review on current research status

Abstract: Cinnamomum glanduliferum (Wall.) Meisn from Lauraceae, commonly referred to as ‘Nepal camphor tree’ or ‘false camphor tree’, is mainly known for its spice qualities and aromaticity. The pleasant aroma mainly develops due to the presence of valuable phytoconstituents in the form of terpenes and volatile hydrocarbons conferring the plant species a camphor substitute.
