Abstract:The problem of sound radiation from a train is considered. This object has been simulated as sets of point sources uniformly distributed in the domain of a moving lengthened rectangle. The solution of the problem is obtained using integral Fourier transforms over the space coordinates and time. The integrals are calculated by using the stationary phase method. Numerical analysis is carried out for acoustic pressure and sound intensity.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
