Abstract:The HIV virus, probably more accurately referred to as primate lymphotropic virus, has been found in troglodyte chimpanzees in equatorial West Africa. Due to racial and cultural discrimination, researchers have mistakenly focused their attention on the geographic longitude of the African continent rather than on the geographic and biological latitude of the equator in the Amazon Basin, perhaps the origin of all life in its most diverse forms.
