Abstract:Patients with single-ventricle physiology require staged palliation. Additional interventions may be required due to Fontan failure, formation of collaterals or pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs). Transcatheter interventions are preferable in this setting to avoid the risks of redo-sternotomy, and cardiopulmonary bypass.
