Abstract: The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) orchestrates major cellular processes, including protein synthesis, folding, assembly and degradation, to maintain cellular proteostasis. Central to these processes are highly stringent quality control machineries like the ER-associated protein degradation (ERAD).
