Transdermal Delivery of Antihypertensive Agents: A tabular update.

Abstract: Transdermal Drug Delivery System is viable drug delivery platform technology and has a strong market world wide. Transdermal Drug Delivery System is particularly desirable for drugs that need prolonged administration at controlled plasma level that basis make appropriateness to antihypertensive agents for their transdermal development. Controlled zero order absorption, easily termination of drug delivery, easy to administration also support for popularity of transdermal delivery. This paper reviews the work on… Show more

“…Additionally, chitosan nanoparticles can be functionalized with various molecules, such as permeation enhancers and targeting ligands, to further improve their efficacy in TDD. Several studies have investigated the use of chitosan nanoparticles for transdermal delivery of various drugs, including antihypertensives [ 50 ], anti-inflammatory agents, and anticancer drugs [ 51 ]. Also, in vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated the potential of chitosan nanoparticles for transdermal delivery of these drugs [ 52 ], showing improved permeation and bioavailability compared to conventional formulations.…”

“…After 10 minutes of immersion, the membrane can be removed, air dry in a circulation oven at 50°C for 12 hrs. [51][52] Circular Teflon mould method: Solutions with different ratios of polymers are utilised in an organic solvent. Half as much of the same organic solvent is used to dissolve the calculated amount of medication.…”

“…[35][36][37] Also, it was observed that Fe 3+ ions gave a stable complex with chlorphenamine, having a similar structure to histamine, at pH 6.0 (log b: 3.6 at ratio of 1 : 1). 38 Thus, the effect of Fe(III) ion concentration on the recovery of histamine was investigated in the range of 1 to 60 mmol L À1 . The results are shown in Fig.…”
