Abstract:Wound infection by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria is a major disease burden. Systemic administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics colistin methanesulfonate (CMS) and vancomycin are the last lines of defense against deep wound infections by MDR bacteria.
