Transfer of Pulses Along a Liquid Metal Flow

Abstract: This work develops a method for measuring the speed of an isothermal flow of liquid metal in a cylindrical channel. The method does not require calibration, is non-contact and is based on a correlation technique. The generation of pulses is carried out using rotating magnetic field inductors. Pulses of the axial velocity component are recorded by recording the electromagnetic response of local velocity meters.
