Transformation of expanded austenite to an amorphous ferromagnetic surface layer during laser carburization of austenitic stainless steel

Abstract: The presented experiments that were carried out in order to advance the understanding of the transformation of expanded austenite into an amorphous ferromagnetic surface layer during laser carburization of austenitic stainless steel.
