“…In the present study, we investigated the genetic diversity of aboriginal and introduced populations of the four‐eyed fir bark beetle P. proximus Blandf., which rapidly expanded its area from the Russian Far East westward to the European part of Russia (Kerchev, ; Krivets et al ., ). The P. proximus introduction threat is evaluated as 30 000 ha of fir forests in Siberia only (Baranchikov et al ., ).…”

“…Through dendrochronological methods, it was identified that the earliest registered case of fir tree death with traces of maternal galleries of P. proximus in the forests of Tomsk Province dates back to 2000 (2005 in the Larinskii Wildlife Preserve). It was even hypothesized that the penetration of P. proximus into West Siberia took place in the mid‐1990s (Demidko, ; Krivets et al ., ). In East Siberia, the invader's outbreak foci were established even later, in 2009, in Krasnoyarsk Province, which finally indicated that the invasion had been overlooked (Baranchikov & Krivets, ; Baranchikov et al ., ).…”

“…In 2015, the scale of the secondary range of the four-eyed fir bark beetle in the territory of southern Siberia was assessed (Krivets et al 2018;Krivets et al, 2015). proximus is also present in Siberia, where it is considered to be an introduced species.…”

“…На каждой ПП площадью 0,25 га с количеством деревьев верхнего яруса не менее 100 экземп-ляров измерялись традиционные параметры (диаметр у всех деревьев, высота и возраст у 20-30 деревьев) с оценкой санитарного состояния по шкале, доработанной под уссурийского полиграфа [3].…”
