Transforming moss P. patens with lignin peroxidase through heterologous protein expression.

Abstract: Lignin peroxidase is an enzyme secreted by white-rot fungi Phanerochaete chrysosporium. Our laboratory is attempting to produce several lignin degrading enzymes in our protein expression system that utilizes the moss, Physcomitrella patens.
