Abstract: BACKGROUND Transfusion‐associated graft‐versus‐host disease (TA‐GVHD) is a rare, often fatal complication of blood transfusion that can occur in immunocompromised or immunocompetent recipients and is the result of viable T cells present in the blood components transfused.
