Transient infrared thermography to characterize thermal properties of millimeter-sized low conductivity materials

Abstract: This work deals with the thermal characterization of a low conductivity material of millimeter-sized used mainly in building insulation, the hemp shiv. Experimentally, the samples are positioned in a stainless steel chamber, in which it is possible to control the environment.
