Transient Osteoporosis of the Hip and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: A Report of Two Cases

Abstract: Transient osteoporosis of the hip is not a common disease. It is self-limited and characterized by the sudden onset of hip pain. It affects mostly middle-aged men and women in the third trimester of pregnancy and early postpartum period. The treatment consists of rest, decrease in weight bearing on hip, analgesics, and anti-resorptive drugs.
