Abstract: ObjectivesVocal fold scar remains a therapeutic challenge. Vocal fold fibroblasts (VFFs) secrete extracellular matrix (ECM), and transforming growth factor‐beta 1 (TGF‐β1)‐mediated fibroblast to myofibroblast differentiation is central to the development of fibrosis.
