This article has been derived from a documentary research work, which offers a balance of education for Indigenous Peoples in the Latin American sphere, in the Colombian sphere and in the specific sphere of the Nasa Indigenous People in Colombia. It also realizes the way in which the relationship between Own Education and the fight for territorial autonomy has been raised. Finally, for the Colombian case, some problematizations present in the relationship between Indigenous Education and state policy on education are collected. It is concluded that the ontological and epistemic violence that generates injustices in knowledge and understanding, and that affected the indigenous peoples under the colonial project, is resisted based on the educational experiences of the Nasa Indigenous People.
