Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other sexual and/or gender minority (LGBTQ+) populations experience significant mental and behavioral health disparities. Social workers are uniquely positioned to address these vulnerabilities. However, clinical graduate education has not effectively promoted or taught competent practice with LGBTQ+ populations. This qualitative study details the foundational competencies required for affirmative practice in group therapy with LGBTQ+ populations and describes a simulation-based learning activity designed to develop these competencies in graduate students. The following themes were identified as critical to affirmative practice, as identified through student reflections on their simulation-based learning experiences: deeply engaging in a strengths-based stance, keeping the group in group therapy, avoiding the expert trap, and managing identity assumptions. Implications for clinical social work education and practice are discussed.

Simulation-based learning (SBL) is used as an educational tool within health professions education disciplines, including medicine and nursing. More recently, SBL has been applied within social work education as a growing body of research, demonstrating its efficacy in teaching social work competencies. SBL provides students with safe and practical opportunities to apply their skills within highly realistic settings. The growing body of literature on SBL within social work education informed the development of a new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) course focused on communication and interviewing skills at Wilfrid Laurier University. The purpose of this editorial is to provide an example of a collaborative process for integrating simulation as a pedagogy within course design. This collaborative process involved four stages: designing the course, preparing, and revising the simulations, facilitating the simulations, and evaluating student learning and experience. This editorial may assist instructors by providing a pedagogical framework for incorporating SBL into both new and existing curricula.

Competence is a person's ability to do a job where that person excels in that job. Work discipline is a person's work abiAlity which reflects a great sense of responsibility to comply with the rules that exist in the company. Job satisfaction is a form of attitude from employees regarding feedback that they get from workers in the company where they work. Performance is the result of tasks that have been completed by employees in accordance with the standards and criteria given by the superior. In this case, job competence, work discipline, and job satisfaction are independent variables, while employee performance is the dependent variable. PT Danamas Insan Kreasi Andalan is a subsidiary of the BCA pension fund. Danamas Insan Kreasi Andalan is engaged in the credit card marketing business. PT Danamas Insan Kreasi Andalan provides marketing services, sales services, customer service and human resource development for an exclusive client, namely Bank Central Asia (BCA). The research method uses a quantitative approach, the type of research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection was carried out by interview, questionnaire and documentation study. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The population in this study were all company employees, amounting to 100 people. The sample is determined by the formula used is a saturated sample where the total population is equal to the number of samples, namely 100 employees. sample and to test the validity taken 30 respondents outside the sample. The results showed that training, discipline and research are simultaneously and partially competence, discipline and satisfaction have a significant effect on the performance of the employees of PT.
