Translation of a Coated Rigid Spherical Inclusion in an Elastic Matrix: Exact Solution, and Implications for Mechanobiology

Abstract: The displacement of relatively rigid beads within a relatively compliant, elastic matrix can be used to measure the mechanical properties of the matrix.
