Abstract:Background
Thyroglossal duct cyst (TGDC) is the most common congenital neck mass among the pediatric population. Less than 10% of the cases occur in adults. The standard of care for TGDC is surgical treatment with the Sistrunk procedure via a traditional transverse cervicotomy.
