“…Among the 479 articles resulting from our literature search, 60 primary research papers fulfilled our criteria ( Figure 1 ), providing a total of 74 laryngeal schwannoma patients for combined analysis ( Table 1 and Supplemental Tables S1 and S2, available in the online version of the article). 2-61 The included studies consisted primarily of single case reports (n = 55), 4 reports of 2 cases, and 1 larger case series of 11 patients. The mean age at diagnosis was 43.4 years, with women presenting at a later age compared with men (47.3 years vs 32.8, P < .05).…”

“…A combined endoscopic transcervicaltransoral robotic approach is also possible. [38][39][40][41] In addition, interest in TORS for the resection of laryngocele is already reported. 35, 36 Chan and Richmon 37 described the surgical technique and perioperative care for the management of benign pharyngeal lesions.…”

“…Very few laryngeal tumors removed by TORS have been reported (ie, schwannoma, lipoma, or hemangioma). “…Otherwise, therapy of choice is the surgical removal mostly via transoral microsurgery 143 but also via open approaches, partly with tracheostomy 145 . In the recent literature, reports on transoral robotic removal with the DaVinci system are found 119 147 .…”
