SYNOPSIS
Resinography is the science of morphology, structure, and related descriptive characteristics as correlated with composition or treatment and with properties or behaviour of resins, polymers, plastics, and their products (Rochow, 1967a).
Like petrography and metallography (both begun in the eighteen‐sixties by Sorby), resinography (Rochow & Gilbert, 1946) had its birth and development in microscopy (Nicolardot & Coffignier, 1924; Roninger, 1933; Rochow, 1939, 1952; Gordon, 1944; Rochow & Gilbert, 1946).
