Abstract:A photoactive TiO2-KH550 (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) - PEG (Polyethelyneglycol) coating film with excellent superhydrophilicity is deposited on a glass substrate by means of the dip coating method for self-cleaning applications. The effects of the number of coating layers, molecular weight of PEG (200–8000), surface roughness, and film thickness on the hydrophilicity of the film coated on the glass substrate are analyzed. In addition, the mechanical durability, and thermal and chemical stability of the coat… Show more
With the advancement of materials engineering and the coatings industry, glass with excellent self-cleaning properties has emerged as a prominent research area.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
