Transplantation and cancer

Abstract: The incidence of cancer is increased in transplant recipients; this increase is due to the immunosuppressive treatment but this treatment must be maintained to prevent rejection. Skin cancer, posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PDLT) and gastroenteric tumours are the most frequently observed malignancies.
