Mutual inhibition have also been demonstrated with ICG and some bile acids (Deutsch et al 1992), oxidized glutathione (Heijn et al 1992), and rifamycin SV (Acocella et al 1965) but may not be competitive.…”

Although believed to be transported by the same mechanism as BSP (Blom et al 1981), it was found that DBSP uptake into isolated rat hepatocytes (Yamazaki et al 1992) and into the perfused rat liver (Nijssen et al 1991) is energy dependent whereas BSP uptake is not. The uptake of 1-anilino-8-naphthalenesulfonate (ANS) and benzylpenicillin exhibited energy dependence but not that of rose bengal or bromophenol blue (Yamazaki et al 1992).…”
