Transversely diode-pumped passivelyQ-switched erbium glass laser emitter

Abstract: Voltage noise of the Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O 8+x single crystal below T c is analysed by an asymptotic power spectrum method. The low-frequency noise power, S v (T ), shows a peak at T = T p . This peak is found to be closely related to the vortex lattice melting temperature. Near the peak T = T p the power spectrum, S v (f ), exhibits a power-law fall-off, while at much lower temperatures S v (f ) dramatically deviates from the power-law behaviour, showing some broad peaks which are superposed upon a background wi… Show more

“…Pulses of duration 9 nsec with energy 1.2 mJ were obtained with longitudinal pulse pumping using a PS based on Co 2+ :LaMgAl 11 O 19 crystal [235]. Pulses with diffraction divergence of duration 50 nsec with energy 5 mJ were obtained with transverse pumping of semiconducting laser rods [236]. [118,227], and Co 2+ :La x Sr 1-x Mg x-y Co y Al 12-x O 19 [240].…”

“…[1][2][3][4] Depending on the problems to be solved and the set of required characteristics, these use both traditional, less costly lamp pumping, usually for devices with a pulserepetition rate of up to 1 Hz, and laser-diode pumping, with a pulse-repetition rate up to tens of hertz. The requirements on the quality of the generated pulse remain high in all cases.…”
