Traumatic macular hole revealing a retinitis pigmentosa: a case report

Abstract: Purpose To report a case of traumatic macular hole revealing a retinitis pigmentosa. Methods A 33‐year old man without past medical history complained of visual loss after direct trauma of his left eye. Visual acuity was 20/50 RE and 20/400 LE. Anterior chamber examination was normal and fundus examination revealed a large macular hole associated with optic atrophy in his left eye.
