“…Although the prevalence of dry mouth is steadily increasing and several therapeutic approaches are available, there is surprisingly little information available in the literature dealing with the attitude and knowledge of dentists regarding treatment of patients with dry mouth. In 2011, a survey among British dentists indicated that the participants were well aware that treatment of dry mouth is important; however, they were not confident to manage treatment of these patients [9].
