For this study, 157 patients with a diagnosis of bipolar affective disorder complicated by plant cannabinoids and alcohol addiction syndrome were selected in order to assess the risk of suicide. The mean age of the patients was 34 ± 4 years. The study was performed twice with an interval of 6 months. Research methods: clinical interview, suicide risk assessment scale (The Sad Persons Scale). The data obtained show that the use of plant cannabinoids and alcohol aggravate the course of bipolar affective disorder, in particular, significantly increase the risk of suicide in this group of patients over a short time interval (6 months). A high degree of suicidal risk in the primary study was determined in 2% of cases, in the study conducted 6 months later, – a high degree of suicidal risk was determined in 13% of cases which required the appointment of higher doses of maintenance therapy, and the development and active implementation of a complex of psychopharmacological rehabilitation programs for patients in this group.
