Abstract:Background and objective: Although diaphragmatic hernia in adults is rare, its acute attack may be lifethreatening. By far, there are few clinical management guidelines and expert consensus for this disease. Because the application of mesh may still lead to infection and other complications or even hernia recurrence, the surgical methods remains controversial. For better efficacy and safety of the treatment of giant diaphragmatic hernia in adults, a new surgical procedure is investigated.
