Abstract:Verrucae plana (VPs), or flat warts, are a very common infectious skin disease caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Although several pharmacological and physical treatments, including salicylic acid, cryosurgery, tretinoin, fluorouracil, and imiquimod, are available, treatment of multiple VPs remains a challenge because results are often unsatisfactory.
