Trends in Energy Security Education with a Focus on Renewable and Nonrenewable Sources

Abstract: Energy security education explores various issues, such as a secure and competitive economy and nuclear safety. In the context of energy transition and sustainable development, it also addresses the world’s reliance on nonrenewable and renewable energy sources. The aim of this study was to identify research trends pertaining to energy security education, paying particular attention to renewable and nonrenewable sources. This was accomplished with the use of mixed-method research in two steps. The first step wa… Show more

“…Among all energy storage approaches, electrochemical energy storage devices such as storage batteries and electrochemical capacitors (ECs), used in microelectronic devices, hybrid vehicles, and large industrial equipment, play a crucial role. To meet the rising energy demands of modern devices, electrochemical systems require continuous improvement through the development of new materials and a deeper understanding of the electrochemical processes occurring at the nano-level [ 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 ].…”

“…The need for vast energy resources is crucial for human survival and development, making energy security a significant global challenge in the 21st century [1,2]. The recent armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has underscored the urgency of this issue, prompting many countries to focus on renewable energy resources (RER) due to rising energy prices and the need to find new suppliers and logistics channels.…”

“…Despite the listed problems, it is expected that in the coming decades, oil and gas will remain important components of world energy demand, especially in the transport sector [ 4 ]. However, energy systems structured in this way are a large source of anthropogenic greenhouse gases, so the decarbonization of the energy industry is becoming a key element of global policy on climate change [ 5 , 6 ].…”
