Abstract: Most stellar-dynamical determinations of the masses of nearby supermassive black holes (SMBHs) have been obtained with the orbit superposition technique under the assumption of axisymmetry. However, few galaxies -in particular massive early-type galaxies -obey exact axisymmetry.
