Triboelectric Circular Motion Sensor with Variable Friction Type and its Service Performance Research

Abstract: Due to their simple structure, low cost, and self-powered characteristics, triboelectric nanogenerators are widely used in mechanical sensing fields. However, the existing investigations on triboelectric sensors mainly focus on a single friction type or material. In this paper, a triboelectric circular motion sensor with variable friction types (TCMS-VFT) is proposed. TCMS-VFT consists of a stator and a slider. Sliding, rolling, and sweeping friction between the slider and the stator can be achieved by replaci… Show more

“…The sensor can be used to monitor the bending and extension of mechanical arms or hu-man joints. [37] As shown in Figure 5e, Xie et al [38] proposed a triboelectric circular motion sensor with variable friction types (TCMS-VFT). TCMS-VFT consists of stator and slider.…”

“…The electromagnetic generator is a traditional energy harvesting device based on the law of electromagnetic induction. , On the other hand, as a new type of power generation technology, the triboelectric nanogenerator has attracted more and more attention due to its simple structure, high power density, and wide selection of materials. It has been widely used in micro/nanopower supply, self-powered sensing, ocean energy, and high voltage power supply. As an energy harvester, the direct-current output triboelectric nanogenerator based on a liquid–dielectric interface can effectively collect low-frequency vibration energy in the environment and has a longer service life …”
