“…TV is not a reportable disease, and partner notification programmes are not available in most clinic settings. 5 In addition, due to lack of evidence to support screening asymptomatic women, screening for TV is not routinely done and most settings use wet mount as a diagnostic tool only in the presence of symptoms. Wet mount has poor sensitivity, and Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) or TV culture are superior for accurate diagnosis but are costly and not widely available.…”
