Abstract: ObjectiveLevothyroxine (LT4) monotherapy is the current recommended approach for treating pediatric patients post-total thyroidectomy (TT) based on the assumption that peripheral conversion of thyroxine (T4) to triiodothyronine (T3) normalizes thyroid hormone levels.
