Peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumors (pPNETs) are a group of aggressive neoplasms that are most commonly encountered in pediatric patients and may be located in the abdomen, pelvis, thoracopulmonary region and, rarely, in the head and neck region. pPNETs in adults are extremely rare.
