TRLF: An Effective Semi-fragile Watermarking Method for Tamper Detection and Recovery based on LWT and FNN

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel method for tamper detection and recovery using semi-fragile data hiding, based on Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT) and Feed-Forward Neural Network (FNN). In TRLF, first, the host image is decomposed up to one level using LWT, and the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is applied to each 2×2 blocks of diagonal details. Next, a random binary sequence is embedded in each block as the watermark by correlating DC coefficients. In authentication stage, first, the watermarked image geometry is… Show more

“…The two primary digests are generated based on LWT, and the rest two secondary digests are obtained by Floyd kernel of halftoning techniques. LWT (Haar, integer) [24,25] is used because this transform uses the integer coefficients and has less computational time and memory requirement than traditional wavelet. In order to improve and optimize the quality of primary digests GA [26,27] is employed.…”

“…Digital halftoning is a technique to generate halftone version of the image by homogeneously distributed of the black and white pixel from continues tone [29][30][31]. In order to generate halftone version of the image, a Floyd kernel (Filter) is chosen [25]. This kernel is illustrated in Eq.…”
