Tryptophan metabolism in liver cirrhosis: Influence of oral antibiotics on neuropsychiatric symptoms.

Abstract: Oral tryptophan loading tests were performed on patients with cirrhosis of the liver before and after treatment with an oral antibiotic practically unabsorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
