Abstract: Background: Worldwide, tuberculosis (TB) remains an important cause of maternal mortality and morbidity, accounting for approximately one-third of annual deaths. Moreover, untimely TB treatment during pregnancy increases the risk of perinatal complications and poor fetal prognosis.
