Tunable Erbium-doped Silica Fiber Ring Laser Source: Design and Realization

Abstract

A continuous wave (CW) tunable erbium doped fiber ring laser source pumped at 1480 nm wavelength was realized, optimizing both the optical fiber and the laser cavity. Output power was measured in the range 1520-1570 nm: more than 3.5 mW were obtained at 1555 nm with 15 m W of pump power.
