The amount of scientific researches is increasing steadily. In today's information age, parallel to technological advances, scientific research keeps pace with innovation and development. Recent research in social and humanities sheds light on many innovative approaches and guides. In this study, answers were sought with the help of the document analysis model for answering the "What is the distribution of postgraduate studies on string instruments in Turkey between 1993 and 2019 in terms of years, institute types, permission status, and university variables?" problem statement. With the research, it was intended to determine the frequency and percentage rates of postgraduate studies carried out under the name of "Stringed instruments" in the National Thesis Centre of Higher Education Institution between 1993 and 2019, to obtain answers to "How are the distributions by the university?" "How are the distributions by years?" "How are the distributions by postgraduate thesis type?" and "How is the distribution of the theses made according to the access status?" questions.

Research Models Used in Doctoral Theses on Sport Management in Turkey: A Content Analysis

The aim of this study was to examine the methodological tendencies in the doctorate theses which were prepared in the field of Sports Management in Turkish between 2007 and 2016 and which were open to access in the database of the Council of Higher Education (CHE) National Theses Center. In this context, 111 doctorate theses prepared in the last decade were examined. The study was conducted with the Qualitative Research Method, which is frequently used in social sciences, and the Case Study Method was also made use of in the course of the study. The data obtained in the study were analyzed and interpreted with the Content Analysis Method. According to findings, it was determined that the study method was not mentioned in 92 of the 111 doctorate theses, which were included in the study; the study design was not mentioned in 36 of them; and the sampling method was not mentioned in 46 of them. It was also determined that the Questionnaire Method was used frequently in the doctorate theses that were examined in the context of the study; and the Data analysis methods that were used frequently were the Descriptive and Predictive Analysis Methods. As a result, it is possible to claim that the methodological structures of the doctorate theses are extremely missing and inadequate. In addition, it is clear that the methodological structures of the theses are weak and unclear, and cannot convey the methodological data to the reader in an accurate manner. Right at this point, it may be recommended to consider the doctorate thesis literature on Sports Management again, and certain and meticulous rules are set for future studies in terms of writing styles and methodological structures.

Öz: Bu araştırmada insan gelişim sürecinde önemli bir sosyal bağlam olan kardeş ilişkileri konusunda hazırlanmış lisansüstü tez çalışmaları incelenmiştir. Lisansüstü tezler, ele aldıkları konu, yöntem, kuramsal çerçeve, sonuç ve önerileri açısından gelecekte yapılacak araştırmalara ışık tutma konusunda önemli veri kaynaklarıdır. Bu anlamda Türkiye'de kardeş ile ilgili hazırlanan tezlerde kardeş ilişkilerinin nasıl ve ne sıklıkta ele alındığı önemli görülmektedir. Bu amaçla Türkiye'de Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu (YÖK) Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında yer alan ve erişime açık olan tezler incelenmiştir. Betimsel nitelikte tasarlanan çalışmada "kardeş", "kardeş ilişkileri" ve "kardeşlik" anahtar kelimeleri ile tarama yapılmıştır. Tarama sonucunda bu çalışma 61 yüksek lisans ve dokuz doktora olmak üzere 70 lisansüstü tez üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda kardeş konusunda yapılan lisansüstü tezlerin son 10 yılda artış gösterdiği, en fazla psikoloji alanında ve özel gereksinimli kardeşler konusunda yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Tezlerin büyük bir bölümünün kuramsal bir temele dayandırılmadan hazırlandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Tezlerde genel olarak ilköğretim ve lise çağındaki bireylerle çalışıldığı ve nicel yöntemin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir.
