Abstract: Widely present in mammalian proteomes, intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) in proteins play important biological functions by conferring structural flexibility and mediating biomolecular interactions. IDR-containing proteins, including many RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), are prone to misfolding and aggregation and must be constantly monitored.
