TWIST1 homodimers and heterodimers orchestrate lineage-specific differentiation

Abstract: Combinations of bHLH factors dimers generate great functional diversity required for cell type specification in development. The bHLH factor TWIST1 plays pleiotropic roles in craniofacial development.
