Two Cu(II)-based coordination polymers: structural diversity and treatment activity against neonatal sepsis by enhancing the anti-bacterial response of the immune system

Abstract: In this work, two Cu(II)-based coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of [Cu(333cptpy)2]n·2nH2O (1, H333cptpy = 4'-(3-carboxyphenyl)-3,2':6',3''-terpyridine) and [Cu(233cptpy)2(H2O)2]n (2, H233cptpy = 4'-(2-carboxyphenyl)-3,2':6',3''-terpyridine) are hydrothermally synthesized using two positionally isomeric pyridyl-carboxylate ligands.
